Our Father's Sins

November South

Composición de: november south
I've been walking alone
My shoes in the dirt have been wearing a hole
One foot in the grave
I've been fighting for something I just can save

All I wanted was freedom
But the weight of the world came down on me
I broke bloodied and bruised
There's no way to remand it no way to get it throught

When I look up to the sky
The Sun is all I see
Its getting closer to the night
And I can barely breathe

I've been diggin a hole
Came down with the sickness now I takin it slow
No its not a disease
I guess playin with fire has caught up with me

They've been walking a wire
Trying to make some believers out of us you see
But I ain't taking the bait
From where I stand it ain't nothing but hate

When I look up to the sky
The dark is all I see
Getting closer to the light
I find the air I need

Catch me in the wind
Can't find me now you'll never see me again
Out here in the wild
We've been fighting a war but it was only a child

Blown up from the knees
She hung down from a ledge for us all to see
And I've been taking it in
Been trying to repent for our father's sins

When I look up to the sky
The dark is all I see
Getting closer to the light
I find the air to breathe

When I look up to the Sun
The light is what I need
A fires burning in the night
And its coming straight for me

I've been walking alone
My shoes in the dirt have been wearing a hole
One foot in the grave
I've been fighting for something that I just can't save
