Another guitar -- the second guitar will be playing the chords as barres upstroked once then muted softly, but only playing the first 4 strings so (D G B e) strings. Play on a clean electric with reverb, mute the chord slightly after play, so don't let it ring too much. Play the barre chord fragments alongside the open chords.
