The Moon Was Red

Ysabella Brave

The moon was red
The night
I lost my head over you
One was as good
As dead after two

They say
That the sun
Is only one
And that the sunlight
May never be done
So they can't know
Whether the night
Will turn into day
So who cares anyway
I will watch the skies
Keep my head high
Ignore distractions
In front of my eyes
Deny the burn
I must have earned
While I sit here
And try my best
Just to learn

What's left of me
Is just for you to see
In your heart
Even though we may be
Far apart
Never fear
If I should disappear
You will see
There are still stars
That shine
After me
