The Lone Warrior

Zephaniah

The Lone Warrior
From her castle in the sky
The Ice Queen watches down
At the warrior down below
Riding into town
He proclaims his love
And she puts on a façade
Her treachery and lies have made him curse the Gods

Her love is blinding as the snow
And he does not know which way to go

Stand and fight against the world
With only a sword in your hand
Your true power will be unfurled
You will become a man

He rides along the beaten path
Sure of loves way
She breaks her vow
Stabs him in the back
Makes the warrior pay
For his crime of love
He did not deny
He took his steel
Broke her flesh
And then he said goodbye

Leaving her to die in his wake
His honor and his pride he must take

Stand and fight against the world
With only a sword in your hand
Your true power will be unfurled
You will become a man

Stand & fight against the world
With only a sword in your hand
Your true power will be unfurled
You will become a man
