Breathing Water

pushing me down ever closer
feeling like i’m falling over
dropping down forever lower
deep into the closest moment
pulling me down even farther
feeling like i’m breathing water
overwhelming light fluoresces
hollowed out by luminescence

and you’re not here
you’re nowhere

flowing like there’s no below me
slowly lower and foreboding
shadows calling like they know me
growing ever dark and lonely
everything is moving me down losing vision and losing sound
enemies draw close in waiting skeletons of my own making
