Whatever The Outcome

Things like this can't go on much longer
But you say the pain will make us stronger
A year and a half, and my heart's gone cold
I can't see why the futures untold

There's a sudden Dark
And a flash of Light
That falls on my face
And brightens my eyes
But it only lasts a minute
Before I'm left in the rain
Wondering what happened
And why there's no pain

Out of the Dark there comes a Light
And I start to hope that I'll regain my sight
But the path is still hidden and kept from me
When the Light burns out just before I can see
