Returning The Favor

I thought, oh I thought at least I caught a glancing blow
I longed, oh I longed for signs of wounds along my torso
Am I merely just transparent? If I am it doesn't show
Can I blame it on the placement of a misguided arrow?
I could try to change position just to say that I tried
To keep the scales of affection from shifting side to side

I've got to get to waking up soon, got to stabilize
Is it really that apparent? Cause my face will hardly show

Finding the symmetry in my life
