Awakened by a crash
I find myself inside a nightmare
The storm's mighty rage
Wrought a wake of despair
All the monsters of the night
Have gone to seek shelter
In the face of this hurricane
They dare not appear

Terrified
I'm aching and stiff
I don't believe that I can go on

Renounce in doubt

Praying for the dawn
And warmth of the sunrise
I'm wandering aimless
Lost in the dark
I push myself forward
Through the gales and downpour
The terrible thought of failure is more
Abhorrent than the storm

Buffeted
I'm tired and weak
I must find the strength to carry on

Abstain in pain

Will it subside?
How do I know that surviving will show me
The way?
Must I decide?
How do I know that my struggle will be worth the pain?

Survive the storm
Quit vying for a hopeless belief
Press on forward
You know you want to concede in defeat

I can’t perceive
You already know you’re failing
I can’t believe
Your attempt is unavailing
I can’t waver
We will make you lose your way
I won’t falter
In this darkness you will stay

We will consume
Shepherd your doom
Give in to our destruction engulfing you!

This storm will subside
I know that surviving will bring me
The light of day
I must abide
I know in the morning the sunlight will
Show me the way
