A New Beginning

Enter a wintery wasteland
The sum of a lonely existence
The picturesque frozen plain
Of solitary continuance
A city of people
Who might as well be shards of ice
A metropolis
Juxtaposed astride a snowy tundra

I've longed for a new beginning
All I've ever wanted is to escape this
Frigid climate
That to perfection
Resembles my torn and tattered heart

Like an invitation
Heavenly melodies grace my ears
