I Have Seen, I Believe

Some were laughing telling stories
Others waited silently
And from the window where I watched them
Such a peace came over me

As the one who seemed so different
Broke the bread and poured the wine
And I listened as He told them
This would be the final time

And as the hymns of praise began to fill the room
I did not understand but something in me knew

A crown of thorns upon His head
And He cried out for His Father
My mind went back again

To the hymns of praise that filled the upper room
And as the darkness fell suddenly I knew

I saw the holy King of glory, take my sin at any cost
