We celebrate ourselves

We drop and lose it all

Neverending stories
Of faith and lies and passion
Memories are blocked
Suppressed by pure obsession

Running in circles
Figures in a game
Puppets bound to strings
No one is to blame

Why do we believe in love?
Why do we forget so fast?
Why do we trust each other?
Why do we ignore the past?

Pretending ignorance
Fool yourself and others
Though we know the truth behind it all
We're not tired to discover

In the end we find ourselves
Brought down to earth again
One should think this is enough
But we move on and take the pain
