stare into my eyes but you don't see me
an empty shell is all you see
and i stare into your eyes but i don't see you
i see through
to numbness, to ignorance
to nothingness, indifference
i want to be alive
from hatred and bigotry
from blatant insecurity
when will we be alive
so won't you take me by the hand and lead me to
a place i see me i see you
wake me up and take me into the light
bring some meaning to my life
i'm so tired and sick of feeling lonely
like i'm the only one who feels so numb
and so stupid and unimportant
useless, insignificant
i want to be awake
when will we be awake
so tired of self help therapy overdose on anti d’s
stare into the tv screen and what does all that mean to me
