Crayons

She's the most beautiful flower in my garden
It's a fact but she doesn't agree
When I hold her a little bit of me starts to harden
And petals are all I can see

I like how I never know quite what shes thinking
Inside her pretty head
Walking and drinking she gave me an inkling
She turned around to me and said

Don't fall over; it only gets you down
Thats all right coming from you, I said
Your feet never leave the ground
You put yourself down, going on about
The need to diet and such
But you know I wouldn't love you as much

She's the brightest crayon in my box
I draw an outline at night on my ceiling
It gives me that artistic feeling
In my heart, my feet and my socks

All I want is to colour your life
The same way that you colour mine
I find it hard sometimes
