Painted Shadows

I’m counting the hours and watching the days passing by
Still praying for night to cover my eyes from this light
These bitter tears, spawns of daylight, fracture the scenes before my eyes
I’m hiding from dawn so I could see the road, the road to the land where I’m free

I’m counting the stars, pilgrims of vast northern sky
Their crimson shine is lifting shadows off a dream
A shooting star, bringer of hope will set ablaze my heart so soul
Now the grace of the night is calling me into the land where I’m free

Though the painting is fading, I’m holding a dream
For one day these dreams could become real
And the frames could reveal a scene unreal

High up in the skies I see a bright shimmering light
A dark morning star is reflecting fire in my eyes
Deep in my soul dark fighting the light just like a never-ending tide
