The earth cloaked in darkness
Blue sphere sorrow-clad in black
In a night without end
Dull ice in no light reflects
A world with no light is a world condemned
Without the sun to warm us we have no future
Father sun has abandoned mother earth
A choir of daughters and sons now pray

For helios to ascend
One day the sun lost its lustre
Leaving the earth in cold dark night
Ice and snow encasing the land
Glacier mountains rise towards the dead sky

Our world is dying
We have no hope
A night eternal
There’s no tomorrow
Behold – faint glow in the distance
First light in hundreds of years
Now a ray breaks through the black clouds
Heralding the return of life and hope
God of light – source of life

The first day in centuries of night
Ice thaw away – nature come alive
Long frozen tears of joy wet on our cheeks
Reflecting the light of a God returned
