Deadline

My patience has run thin
Running on a path headed
Straight down

I never thought that this would happen to me
I thought things would be much easier to see

But I guess those times have passed
Only the memories remain of what life used to be
Until it took the aweful plunge
And then here we are...

Cold dark fear striken into me
Fallen off of course, left with no way
To follow, the map is in flames
Clutching all that I have left

In the wake of disaster
In the face of disgrace
Wishing someone, something were there
Just to simply show me
Where I went wrong
Is that too much to ask?

And I know that this will lead into the end
