Never Wake

he could not believe it
that her eyes and lips were not
flaming from desire
and in the dark I heard her scream

midnight, she fell asleep with
dreams haunting through her fragile life
bearing within the fear of
what may awake out in the night

in the night I loose all my senses
when delirious lust dawns I fall apart
the anguish of my cupidity
irresistibly grows onward
as her soul becomes my obsession
a tell-tale reflection I find in her eyes
that glance that she cannot hide from me
I am her death to create her new life
far from here
far from home
beyond her dreams
beyond her hopes
time stands still
when we both

in her dreams she tried to run away
through bleak forests of decay
seeking shelter from delusion
from the madness in his eyes
and like a fallen Seraphim
she ran away out in the dark
was persecuted by her doom

hell by her side
abhorrent the monotony

glares aflamed

cold sunrays lightened up the scars
