Gone Forever

Behind shattered walls of broken glass
I sit and write these lines
The body breaks into the soil beneath
And they are gone forever

Don't wake me, my eyes can not sleep
Bound by chains in this forsaken place
A wasteland, waiting for deliverance
I find it hard to breathe

In hell I can recite my final joys
All is cold and bound in ice
The sun dies and the world is buried
It is quiet here

I continue to write these lines
In blood spilt from broken glass

And I am no longer alone

In the darkness I write these lines
This pain held by tears
I abandon my hopes that you come again
