More Than What I Need

I dreampt of you gone.
In a fit of rage I wished you dead.
I thought that I would leave,
but maybe I'm just tired.

I drank a little too much.
I'm curled up on the floor,
where the drugs are wearing off.
I thought that I would leave
but I'm not sure how I'll be,
when morning comes to me.

I think that I'd survive
without you in my life.
but for now I'd find
that it's more than what I need.
I think I'd be alright
if only for tonight
to leave this all behind
so it's more than what I need.

You've successfully ruined my day.
Can you feel my teeth grind that smile off of your face?
I swore to myself that I would leave.
but maybe I'll be fine
