Selene - The Spirit

He saw her sitting in her chosen palace
Water ran around her cold, naked shaded body
Her colours were not really there anymore
As seen through the heavy morning mist

But as she gazed towards him, it felt like she saw right through
His inner secrets were no longer hidden

Her magic eyes enchanted him, like the trollish mirror in the forest
Her sight etched his eyes with a beauty forever to be seen

He could not talk, just stood there like frozen
Starring at her as she smiled at him
She knew he was possessed by her grace
And while reaching her arms above she disappeared

Forever he would remember the bewitching sight
The spirit of Selene he has seen in morning light
She - the queen of forest and moon
Died years ago, but her silver shadow he saw

And he knew that she would guide him
Not only led by the stars, but the moonlight as well
