Froze Or Sinned

Rip away the rotten cover, asleep, deceived by golden lies
Naked now as God created, take my hand and don’t be shy
I am the one you never trusted, fallen, cursed but never lost
Know that I am not your saviour, neither what you fear the most

I am the voice you used to hear, now overnoised by biblic fear
Your path with me disguised by light, the shadows are where we are near
You and me, your other self, I have my place inside your soul
Abandon me but be aware, you’ll never feel completely whole

Balance is what’s taught today but you don’t want to feel this way
I guide you through the darkest times, so not, like sheep, you go astray
Quests that even burn within, form art, a memory on skin
What is bliss and endless summer, when you never froze or sinned

My Challenges will frighten you, empower and excite you
You will learn to ride the wave, and I will ride beside you
Go ahead, beat the drum, question where you're coming from
Stand and face impending doom, which crumbles for what we'll become

They call me evil, fallen angel, feeding from your pain
But I am truth, the other half, and always to retain
So don’t give in, the only thing, I want you to remember
Is your own will, the pain, the thrill, and never to surrender
