The viper's bite took her from the living, Eurydice
Your lover will find you even in death

Descending through the mire into Hades realm
His music charms the devil himself

The lord of hell released her
Orpheus' song softened his heart
But he warned him
"Oh, do not look back until you're both free."

Rising up from the depths of hell
Her lover turns around
Despair
She slips back to death

Never again to see her, Orpheus returns alone
The temptation he could nor resist, now he weeps
The lyre that won her freedom hangs limp in his hand
She is lost forever in Hades' land
