Smile as if the whole world came to see you
Try as I might
I’ll never understand just what you’ve been through
Time, will carry you home while leaving me to find
Leaving me to find pieces of a life you’ve left behind

Caught myself shaking on the floor
Unsure of the thoughts I can’t ignore

They’re still so much for you to see here

Feel as of late I’m making progress
Tell myself to listen more and maybe talk less
And keep in mind that every life is just a process
Take it in stride, take it in stride
Maybe small steps?
