Night and snow blind me
The cold sinks to my bones
Unrelenting and unending
The tears freeze to my skin
I am overtaken by the cold
Unable to move, I cry out
Answered only by the wind
I cry for help
And the wind cries death
And they’ll find me
As the snow melts
Untouched by decay
An offering to spring
