Although I followed the rules
I became a scapegoat

An artificial paradise
Surrounded by a fake protection
The promise to never go away
Unknown dangers, waiting in the shadows

Traumatic warnings
Inside from the start
Guilty of obedience

The danger never came from the outside
Now I stand as an example to all who follow the rules
The mourning of the ideal
The distant calls were not threats
Just bursts of survival

A deaf ear and total trust betrayed me
My infinite credulity
