Oh the summer came and the summer went
The autumn did the same
We tried so hard to understand
That complicated game
The moon lit up our way ahead
And the stars came out to greet us

As we gazed upon that miracle

An angel so you claimed

Tambourines and Flutes
The Jesus Army were bombing love
Upon their new recruits
The Witnesses were in the streets
They were showing me the light
All holy Icons vanquished on that
Revelation night
So winter turns to spring again
And do you still believe?
The book and verse that hold your life
You found on Christmas Eve
That night in late December
You joined in holy union
Do you still believe, beyond all doubt?
That was the only way
You say it's real, it's so beautiful
It's the love I've never known
