Dan Briggs plays this solo on a 24 
fret bass, and the minimum number 
frets to
play it at C# (BTBAM's tuning) is a 
23. However if you only have 22 
(which is
usually the normal number of frets 
on most basses) just tune to D 
standard
and play the transcribed notes on 
fret lower than written.
This is a very tough song to learn 
and play and Dan comes in at some 
really
strange times, so take it nice and 
slowly and keep at it! When you 
finally get
it down it sounds amazing.
