Alone Again

The air was heavy, I felt it weigh me down
I lay and waited for you to come round
When you opened your eyes I looked over at you
And understood why I couldn't move.
It wasn't the air, nor gravity,
but the thought of being with you that clung to me

The feeling shifted as the light crept in
Looked around and found I was alone again

Pulled the curtains back and light poured in
Painted rainbows over everything

And the spectrums, they all turn to rust.
