Face Of Reality

I am stuck in this moment
This moment in time
I try to fight it but I am lost
I smile away all the people
And I try to sleep, but I cry
As I find a way
I walk to the doorway
Feel their eyes around me
My mind is racing my time is coming near

They run, they try to hide
Hold me down from deep inside
Help me find a way to feel again
I remember, the smoke was in the air
The cries of a child, reaching out and pleading desperately

I never feared tomorrow
I never feared the night
Time is the only freedom
That I hold onto
I fear the face of realty
Shows me that I'm real
They turn the lights off
And all I have is a window
I see the fire, I feel the warmth again
I try to realize, it’s done I’ve been victimized
Take me to a place where I can heal
