I've got this punkture wound
It just won't heal
I wait for an infection
Sores I can peel
Like a new day its promise
Tender and fresh
Disfigured my perception
Disfigure me

Down low I feel it in me
Its strength so cool
Fist full of old man river
Trapped in a word
The web of their conjecture
Dead in my tracks
And soon I've lost my balance
Black to the start

And now this punkture wound
Seems so surreal
Long likes have eased the insult
Cold nights did pass
Fool should I forget them
This never lasts
Here comes that new infliction
