Off The Cross

I'm off the cross and lookin' for hope
In a world so bitter it's hard to cope
I'm caught in a struggle, fighting to be free
Then brought to shame by my own country
Greed and betrayal are bringin' me down
It's time for my justice to be found
For your lies and your sins I've bled
And it's your guilt that held me on the cross for dead

Now that I'm awake, I can clearly see
The people that are my friends, foes and enemies
I think of the lies that have been said
I'd never have been left on the cross for dead
The time has come to forget the past
It's time for the future to commence at last
