See on the black ship,
See all men of glory
The white tree has risen
The stars and crown of elendil

Darkness was broken
Hope returning to the fair
The king has fallen down,
But dawn comes in nights of despair

Bloodred's the river
The clash of weapons in the air
To lords and lowly
Death comes bearing a failing light

Up the river it came
Cursed be the wind
The last of life's will, lost!
At sight of the black sails

The last stand he gathered
Mighty words he spoke
"now for weath!
"now for ruin!
"and a red nightfall!"

To the walls! to the walls!
Come back before hope is gone
The city will fall!
