The Sun Is Setting

Looking out the window i see
The future staring right at me
Trying to hide behind the lies
And promises of what to be
But soon the darkness takes control
The sun is setting upon me
Something iside me is screaming
What is going on?

Feeling trapped within myself
I'm haunted by my own thoughts
Trying to hide them deep down below
They're eating me from inside

Trying to find a way to hide from my thoughts
To bury them inside
It only delays what's bound to happen in the end
So i am searching

Searching for a way to let go, a way to forget...
To simply leave behind and never ever look back again
I know it will be hard, but still i have to try

On the surface i might be calm
It seems i live without remorse
And even though i feel so much pain
I never let it show
But soon the darkness takes control
The sun is setting upon me

Leave me alone!

Now as the future walks away
And leaves me standing here
Leaving me in the past
That i'm trying so hard to forget
What's burning me from inside?
Please let the fire out!
