Rites of Mist

Flickering shadows, dancing light
A mist have been summoned by the night
over moors of cold midnight grief
and in darkened forest realms

In twilight and by the light of the moon
dark fairies chime in with nightfall
spread their wings over silent waters
ascend towards dimmed stars above

Shrouded in mist they remain
The woods of frozen winds
Forlorn and fallen temples along
a torch lit processions path

Awakening spirits of the night
unleashing beasts of fear and fright
The coming darkness will be more
than just a loss of light

Black crowned storms is closing in
incarnations of hidden and ancient sin
laying waste to the remains under the sun
a fragmental order reigns

Silence; Star cloaked, strained
in hideous falling rain
Restless ghosts of sorrow
reveals the gates unseen

Calling upon the spiteful winds
A ritual of old begins
Surrounded by an unbroken circle
of glowing symbols and signs

From gates of stone, distant aeons
will break forth against barriers of light
When fog enshrouds the highest tower
beneath the blood red sky
