Never Left

Sometimes I feel so disconnected
As if my life was a reflection
Of all the things I never thought I'd be

A thousand days I wake the same
Feeling like I never slept
The sting of repetition
The same white ceiling, the same four walls
On one of them is a door
I've passed through many times
But I've never left

I drink sometimes
To ease my mind
And dull the pain
It never lasts
Never takes me anywhere
I have nowhere to go

I don't know just who my friends are
Everyone seems to be so far
From wherever it is I ended up
