Adolescence

Take yourself a while
And look back upon your life
Is there anything I have lost?
Did I ever do anything right?
Is this the life I wanted?
This the plan I made up myself?
Am I the one I try to be?
And what is there missing deep inside?

We have lost the gift of wonder
Dispelled all magic by selfish reason
We even analyze our dreams
Because we fear to loose our common sense
We forgot how simple life's been
Gazing at it with the eyes of a child
How wonderful the world has been
Discovering it with an innocent mind
