Blue Eyed Soul Pt. 7

we spend all our weekdays apart
except for when we're sleeping
such a horrible design
but we're locked in until we meet the weekend
and we're still sleeping
but it's no walk in the park
and i'm stumbling in the dark

late at night i get so hungry
or maybe i'm just bored
well it's probably both
so i'll have another drink to fill my stomach
and trick my head
but it's never quite enough
and i'm skinny like a dog

it's a cruel cruel game
and i'd rather not play
if we're going by the old man's rules
but i will take my turn
and have a little fun
before the bitter ending comes

of course i'd like to take a picture
from the top of the eiffel tower
or just lay down quietly
in a field of flowers
it's the fashion and technology
that send me with a shiver
but it's the wine soaked melodies
of tragic history singers
who know...
