Life In The Old Dog Yet

In my time i've been a few places
And i've many a story to tell.
I'm still going strong,
As i've done all along,
I'm not ready for heaven or hell.
Each day is a brand new adventure,
They say you're as young as you feel,
May not be twenty six
But i've learned a few tricks,
Being mature has a certain appeal.

It's not over till it's over
And not till the fat lady sings.
Time to raise our glasses
And see what tomorrow brings.
Our life is one big gamble
So roll up and place your bet
But its not over till its over
And there's life in the old dog yet.

They say that life is for livin',
And i've no doubt at all that it's true.
I know, to be fair,
That i have done my fair share
But i've still got some livin' to do!
I've only got the one daughter,
Time she married and got settled down
And the man i have planned
Has got plenty of land,
Then i really will light up the town.
