This Quiet Place

In this quiet place, I'm reminded of the grace
That saved my soul, and made my heart brand new.

And in this quiet hour, I can feel Your holy power
Giving me the strength to know just what to do.

For it's in this quiet place, that I've learned to seek Your face,
To deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You.

This quiet place is the closet of my prayers.
Where I can go to God and know that He is there.
And it's in this quiet place that I find ability to care
For the hurting and the hopeless, present everywhere.

But when I lose compassion that I need and my fire for souls
Is lost indeed, I go to my knees, to my quiet place and discover
That I have not been there.
