In The Darkness

I guess I oughta tell you what's been going on
Well I've been chasing dreams for everyone but me.
When your heart is filled with misery
It's hard to find the energy
To remember just how much she means to me.

Well I keep everything inside so long till it burns
Everybody stokes the fire and the walls get a little higher.
I light the candle at both ends

But she's always there to catch me when I fall.

I just can't get the hang of hanging on
Every time I try to grab it, the will is gone.
When she looks into my eyes
She sees a man she used to recognize
