Vocals come in (I'm not sure how to tab the strumming rhythm, so you're on your
own on that. I tried to at least match the chord changes with the lyrics.)

At the end of the song, I'm just making noise and feedback with the area
of the strings between the bridge and tremolo.

Field (Jason's part)
Okay... here's Jason's part. If this doesn't cement CFD's status as musical geniuses, I don't know
what will.
Absolutely beautiful.
This tab is kinda wordy, so bear with me. There's some stuff I think I could explain better through
words
rather than notation.
So anyway, I don't know whether Jason used a capo for his part on this song or not. I'm not sure how
much
different it would be for him, anyway. Also, it sounds to me (contrasted with Eric's beginning part)
that
he's using a pick the entire time rather than fingerpicking.
Rest up until about the 23 second mark, after Eric finishes his part the second time.
There's actually a pickup note on the upbeat of 4 in the last measure before Eric's third time, so the
second note (the Bb on the e string) is beat 1.
(let the notes ring)

There might be slight variations related to some stray notes being hit or somewhat different picking
but I'd say this is the way it's played about 95% of the time.
Repeat that figure until the snare comes in. Now, you'll be partially doubling Eric's part, the main
difference being that while Eric hits the roots of each chord, you'll be hitting the Bb. What makes
this part a little tricky (for me anyway) is the ringing F you have to hit with the C. It holds out for
the full beat (If you're not terribly familiar with note names and prefer to go by fret numbers, I've
marked the first ringing F with an asterisk, so you can spot it in the pattern later.) What makes it
worse is that the C is a short, staccato note, while the F is held out, so keep the finger playing the
F on there, while releasing pressure on the C but keeping the finger on the string so it's still muted,
then hitting the 3rd-fret Bb. I don't mean to make it sound so complex, but it did take me a while to get.
Repeat this figure twice.

The first time, play as written. The parentheses are for reference when you play it differently the
second time.
The second time, instead of playing the C/F to Bb part, simply repeat the last rhythm 4 times.
Now, we get to the section where the vocals and guitar distortion comes in. I'm not 100% sure, but I
think this part is entirely in octave chords. You'll have to fill in the rhythm and strumming yourself.
Repeat this figure twice.

Now... finally, we're near the end! Pretty straightforward, although maybe if Jason sees this tab he
can correct it (or any other part of the tab for that matter) if he sees anything wrong with it. In his
tab, Eric said he was making noise and feedback with the area of the strings between the bridge and tremolo.
The way it sounds to me is that on top of that, Jason plays the middle 5th fret harmonics. There
are a few added notes here and there, so I don't think it's really set in stone... listen carefully.
Repeat until the song fades out.
