T.O.M.A.M.

Seeded by chance on a fertile ground
We were born too soon and grew up too fast
And the garden was lush when we came to light
Nettles in the grass, tares among the wheat,
We were tough and fierce and we loved the rain as much as the drought

Looking so cute and so twee and as light as light could be

We hadn't any idea of what the future would be

And we loved to stare at the tortured skies
Our hearts were hard and so tough and proud enough to lie
We had no remorse and we had no hope
And we seldom made friends, often shunned the few ones we had
Then we died one by one without any regret
Everything was said and done when we saw our sun set
Changing unfair unstable often cruel and wrongheaded
Passing from A to B morphing from this to that
Our "this" had no face, our "that" had no name

Kings of inconsistency and as light as light could be

Of wourse we these days wouldn't last we had to live fast
And we often heard our elders talk about a forthcoming heaven on earth
And we hated their life in a fool's paradise
Then we died one by one without any regret
And we knew what it meant but would never repent
