All Those Years

These last four years,
I tried to speak my mind but no one hears.
Speak my mind...
When will they ever?
I'll never know
Can't seem to find a reason why
You denied me for what I stood for
For all those years.
What will you do?
When the truth that you hide inside of you
That you hide
Eats you up inside and spits you out.

And still I wonder
If things could have turned out right.
Why must we always give up the fight?
I keep on trying, trying to push on through ,
But you withhold from me
The things that I hold true.
