Ode to Glory Winter
Grasping through
For the dwindling few
Threads of black
That remain in the despicable dawn
The trees shiver off their last leaves
And shed all memory of warmth

Even the moon
Has sped its encirclement
It anticipation of this moment
Now finally releasing
Its held lunar breath
Exhaled
Autumn has ecliped into Winter

December soothe thy restless waves
As with Winter
I too have veins that flow with ice
A quickened pulse and an extended moon
On an icy horizon

A fiery passion burns and awaits
Beneath this gift of snow
Penetrated with chill
Caressed by the cold

Awaken the thunder within me
And I will bribe your lightning to strike
Sing my hatred to slumber
And I will
Engulf your love this night
The earth's pulse quickens
At the scheduled planetary alignment
Just like them, we were there
When Mars and Venus collided

Showering now, upon the land
A confusion of affection and war
Driving us together, and pushing us apart
Regardless
We still want more

Beneath this gift of snow
Penetrated with chill
Caressed by the cold

As the flakes fall
So brings the hush...and the rush!
One, now, Winter and I
A frosted allegiance I have pledged
My loyalty resides with thee
Now
A satisfied warrior's lust
Here, in the frozen arms of Winter
Never has the barren land
Seemed so alive
Even the moon anticipates this moment
Enthralled enough to cease

Midnight now encores a glorious day
