Portrait Of Selfishness

This world deprives us of what not given us

Behind a perverse smile I bring my misery
Behold the heart of this worthless creature
That which overflows bitterness and baseness

Crawling among the stones of disappointment
Through the grief and despair

Our self-seeking tale

A tenebrous cloud of pure sorrow has alighted upon my world
Fragments of a storm of pure self-rejection burnt my eye-lids
And I was compelled to face the portrait of my selfishness

In a black chalice I will drink the tears
That will flow along the human path
For the joy that never could I sow
I will ever stand on my knees
