A force of nature is looming
Overdue and unforeseen
Earthly rifts growing restless
Much that’s risen will be destroyed
Magnitude
Cataclysmic
Life will come to a grinding halt
The ground will tremble with fury unleashing years of stifled rage
A catastrophe so imminent and guaranteed
Will strike when we least expect
On borrowed time, we have flourished uninterruptedly
But now we will be reminded of our frailty
Fault lines ready to give way
Which will be the first to wake?
Devastating destruction will spread across the trembling land
Pressure has reached a breaking point
Buildings sway before crumbling
Seismic terror will haunt us
As we rebuild for years to come
