Sunlight reflects off shards of broken glass
Moonlight struggles
To escape the temple walls
As eons pass eternal
Like sands through an hourglass

The crystal palace remains the same
Whispering tales of old
Of people long gone
As fear arises
In the hearts of tyrants
The truth remains untold
For as pillars stand on foundations
So must elders stay united

Pyramids built reaching for the sun
Fingers bleed and burn from evil ones
Time has no pity when working for the gods
Temples scratched with markings from above

Reflections of our past lives
Shine on us today
To see what's in the future
We must look back to those days
Mesmerized I stand blank
How long before we learn

As I stand here trying to explain
If we don't change life will fade away
