The Green Man

Curta'n Wall

    Continues after the ad

His hair is made of willow leaves, his beard of tangled thyme
He watches over sprouting seeds, ensures their vines will climb
Ensures the berries plump with juice, ensures the birds are nourished
Ensures the fawns of spring are safe, sound ensures they flourish
A crown of ivy atop his head, he tends the timeless nurseries
    He guards the flower beds
I think I see him right over there!
In every spore or root or leaf or fruit, I know he’s there!

    Continues after the ad

A face in the foliage, a smile in the vine
Beneath the rainbow's arch, he stands ensuring life will thrive
With every hue, a song is sung, a story to be told
Vibrant life in fertile soil, blooming blossoms bold
Toadstools and worms pepper sprawling emerald scapes
Even the smallest ant most deserving of his place
He speaks in rustling branches, the murmur of the stream
A smiling face of oak, a promise every spring
