Autumnal Epitaph

By leaves that falls, by ashes and fire
Shall thy roots be my rest
As I fall, as leaves from trees

And so, my heart shall stay as mine
Not yours, not theirs, not of God neither men
May dust be lighter than your cruel hand
To let al last, rest this heart of mine

If this be the end of love and life
Then light that is your name
Shall be the last light in my sight
Into silence of an endless night
All tears shall be dried

Requiem aeternam dona me, Domine
Et lux perpetua luceat me.

Let rain cleanse out my mortal remains
To heal, to leave this world at last
And may one day this heart be reborn
To see again thy eyes of frost
