was standing in the hall when they called the doctor in
Almost scared me half to death
When they said "It's a boy again"
I walked in just in time to see them lay him by her side

When I was just a teenage boy a preacher man stopped by
He asked me if I knew the Lord
Said "If you don't, then tell me why"
I gave my heart to God that day, and then I was baptized
And when I stood up at church to testify
